From the Desk of Michael D'Arienzo


AP D'ArienzoDear Students, Families, and Staff,

Michael D'Arienzo joined the Queens Transition Center in 2008 and has since served as an Assistant Principal. Prior to his current administrative role, Mr. D'Arienzo worked as a Unit Coordinator at P224Q, where he taught self-contained special education to students in grades three through five and English Language Arts to students in grades sixth through eight. He also previously taught in the Patchogue-Medford School District as a second- and fifth-grade elementary teacher.

Mr. D'Arienzo earned a bachelor's degree in Child Study from St. Joseph's College, a master's degree in Literacy from Long Island University, and a master's degree in School Leadership from Touro College. He believes that every day is a step forward, and every step counts. While growth may look different for each student, all progress is meaningful and worthy of recognition.
